Target Participants: Case Workers, Programme Co-ordinators, Child Care Staffs

Objectives:
1. Identify support needs of families and significant others
2. Under supervision, work with families and significant others of young clients.
3. Under supervision, monitor the family's progress towards independence

Date: (1st Run) 26th to 29th Oct 2009; (2nd Run) 23rd to 26th Nov 2009

Total Training Hours: 28 Hours, from 9am to 6pm (4th day, 2pm to 6pm)
Training Days per Participants: 3½ days

  2. Parenting Styles
  3. Phases in working with families
  4. Group Work
  5. Family Conferencing
  6. Family Life Education
  7. Discussion on a video recording of a session
Assessment: Maximum of two hour interview with assessor within two weeks after the course.
