A child is a child first, then a child with special needs

Every child deserves to succeed, and a child with exceptional needs is no exception.  Firmly rooted in our guiding principle, we advocate in empowering the families and young children in SOMC: THK Moral EIPIC Centre through therapeutic and education intervention, including social services.

The objectives of early intervention are to promote the optimal development of young children who have been identified with an onset of disability. Another focus of early intervention is to reduce the secondary effects of their disabilities.

The trans-disciplinary team comprising of early interventionists, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech language therapist, music therapist, art therapist and social workers, works with the families to ensure that the children achieve their full potential.

We believe by providing experiential education, training and support services, our children’s lives will be enhanced through a holistic and nurturing environment so that they can attain independence and be part of the community.
