Organised Virtues Week to promote good morals and respect for each other, irrespective of race, colour or religion. These included cash gifts to 100 public assisted families, dinner for 1,000 senior citizens, visits to places of worship and “Virtues through Pictures” Photo Competition and exhibition. |

The Tanjong Pagar Family Service Centre was set up, in compliance with the guidelines established by then The Ministry of Community Development and Sports. The Centre promotes, maintains and improves family harmony through the provision of quality, community-based, primary and secondary social services. The Centre provides counselling, referral and information, family life education, volunteer development, before-and-after school care, kindergarten, senior citizens drop-in-centre, and other services. |

The Macpherson Moral Family Service Centre was set up. The Centre promotes and enhances healthy family life through various wholesome family support services and social activities. The Centre caters for children, youths and elderly. Other services include free tuition, toy and book library, counselling, family life education, information and referral.
Moral Meal Centre (MacPherson) that operates from the Family Service Centre provides free lunch service every day (except Sunday) for the senior citizens.
Moral Child Care Development Centre (Membina) and Moral Child Care Centre (MacPherson) were up set. The Child Care Centres provide support for working parents by looking after their children, supervising the children’s homework, fostering self-discipline, moral values and moral principles in a safe and conducive environment, as well as facilitating parent-children harmony.
The Second Moral Free Clinic, Macpherson branch began operation, providing free western medicine and medical services. |

Moral Seniors Activity Centres at MacPherson and Telok Blangah Crescent commenced operation as pilot projects under then The Ministry of Community Development and Sports (MCDS). The objective is to improve the living conditions of the elderly. These centres are the hub of activities for the older persons to utilise the facilities and services and the opportunity to interact with other seniors and keep in touch with the community. |

To promote love and filial piety to our parents, THK was the first to issue Mother’s Day phonecard with the message “Mum, you’re the Greatest” and Father’s Day phonecard with the message “Pa, you’re just as Great”.
Free Meal Centre operating from Moral Neighbourhood Link (Telok Blangah Crescent) started to provide free meals for the poor senior citizens. |

Moral Welfare Home at Henderson Road began operation. The Home was gazetted as a welfare home for the reception, care and rehabilitation of destitute persons.
Moral Home for Disabled Adults & Day Activity Centre at Chai Chee Lane commenced operation in December and takes in intellectually disabled adults. The Home also proives day care and respite care services. |

Free Lunch Service commenced to serve senior residents at our Moral Seniors Activity Centre (Toa Payoh) from Mondays to Saturdays.
Indus Moral CARE service commenced operation as a Seniors Activity Centre. Its objective is to uplift the standard of living for the elderly residing in the Indus Road area.
Moral Before-and-After School Care Centre (Telok Blangah Rise) commenced service at Block 28, Telok Blangah Rise. |

Moral Home Help Service (East) commenced service for the eastern region. This service met the needs of home-bound elderly persons living in the eastern part of Singapore, providing services such as meals-on-wheels, laundry service, and escort service to seek medical consultation.
The Society of Moral Charities (SOMC), a welfare arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society was set up to address some of the problems faced by the underprivileged in Singapore.
Moral Student Care Centre (MacPherson) at Circuit Road commenced service.
Moral Network of Older Persons (MNOP) was officially launched by Mdm Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, then Senior Parliamentary Secretary, MCDS. MNOP’s objective was to encourage people to age graciously. The Network organised outings,cultural activities and promotes inter-generational actitvities,active aging and mutual assistance.
Moral Cultural Programme was formed as a small contribution to the Arts and Culture scene in Singapore. We formed a small choir and a musical group. The choir and musical group had since performed at various functions,bringing music,songs,joy and entertainment to the audiences.
Moral Child Development Centre (Macpherson) at Blk 122 Paya Lebar Way commenced service. The Centre complemented working parents by looking after children, supervising the children’s homework, fostering self-discipline, moral values and moral principles in a safe and conducive environment, and facilitating parent-children harmony. |

Home Help Service (West) was established to serve home-bound elderly persons living in the western region of Singapore. The services provided include meals-on-wheels, laundry service, medical escort service, personal hygiene, rehabilitation and nutritional counselling. |

Moral Case Management commenced service. Objective is to enhance the quality of life of elderly by the provision of on-going support and helping these elderly remain autonomous in their home and community. |

2002 |
Moral Neighbourhood Link (Bukit Merah View) and Moral Neighbourhood Link (Kaki Bukit) commenced service.
THK took over the management of the Ang Mo Kio Hospital, a sub-acute hospital. This hospital provides rehabilitation and geriatric care to patients referred by acute hospitals
Moral Counselling Centre, situated at Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre commenced operation.
THK, together with 6 other Voluntary Welfare Organisations (VWOs), took over management of Angsana Home@Pelangi Village from then MCDS. |

Moral Seniors Activity Centre (Telok Blangah Crescent) at Block 4, Telok Blangah Crescent, was enhanced into Neighbourhood Link with additional premises at the void deck of Blk 3 Telok Blangah Crescent.
Project Cherub was started to provide pregnancy crisis support to expectant mothers in need of help. It is managed by the Tanjong Pagar Family Service Centre.
Family Education Resources Centre was set up to provide resources on family life education. |

THK took over management of Moral Family Service Centre (Bedok North) which offers a comprehensive range of programmes and services that aims at strengthening and building strong families.
The Moral Student Care Centre (Bedok North) was set up beside the Family Service Centre to provide student care service that meets the needs of the families in the community.
THK officially managed Moral Family Service Centre (Bukit Panjang) which offers a number of on-going programmes targeted at parents, youths and children.
Moral Student Care Centre (Bukit Panjang) services was set up to provide services pertaining to all aspects of a child’s mental and physical well-being, beside supervision of homework and school assignments.
THK, together with its 7 partners organised the inaugural Multi-Racial Multi-Religious Nite to promote racial and religious harmony. It has renamed to Inter-Racial Inter-Religious Harmony Nite (IRIR) since 2005
THK became a partner in Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre (Jurong Central). The Centre focuses on youth and students, providing free breakfasts, football mentoring and tuition for need school children. The centre also supports the local MP’s Meet-the People sessions and conducts social activities for constituents. |

Moral Home for Disabled redeveloped its present premise to a 5 storey purpose-built Home which can accommodate 100 intellectually disabled children and a hostel for 50 residents above age of 18.
The Disability Information and Resource Centre(DIRC) began operations to provide one-stop service to persons with disabilities. The Centre was established to facilitate easy access to disability information & resources which will enable users to obtain accurate information on disability services in a timely manner.This service was handed back to the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports in end 2008. |

Ang Mo Kio Hospital was renamed Ang Mo Kio-Thye Hua Kwan Hospital to reflect its status as charity hospital.
The Moral Therapy Hub began operations to provide therapist services of all kinds, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy in the social service sector targeting to optimize the rehabilitation potential of its users.
Moral EIPIC Centre commenced operations which provides an array of therapeutic and social services to the families of young children with developmental concerns. The Centre is designed to assist the families to meet the special needs of children from 0 to 6.
The Centre for Family Harmony is a specialised centre for separated and divorced families. The Centre offers help by providing supervised/unsupervised access, supervised/unsupervised transfer, therapeutic supervision,public talks/workshops, group programmes, research and counselling.
THK launched our Gambling Counselling Hotline, 1800-X-GAMBLE. THK Gambling Counsellling Unit was officially appointed by National Council on Problem Gambling as one of the two counselling centres in Singapore to provide counselling for problem gamblers and their families.
THK launched the First THK Charity Show on Mediacorp TV. |

THK assumed responsibility for the running of Boon Lay Neighbourhood Link. Apart from the standard Neighbourhood Link services, the Centre also networks with grassroots organisations to organise social cohesion civilities promoting inter-generational bonding and inter-ethnic harmony. |

A second EIPIC Centre (EIPIC-2) commenced operations to cater to residents in the South west District. |

2009 |
Hope Garden@Indus was started by Indus Moral CARE, in collaboration with Farm EAT, a team of 8 Secondary 4 students from Raffles Girls’ School and Kim Seng CC YEC. The purpose of this garden is to allow elderly to get physically exercise through farming. The garden’s harvests are given for the elderly’s consumption. The garden is maintained daily by the elderly themselves.
EIPIC-2 commenced home-based services at its Choa Chu Kang premises.

THK initiated and launched THK-CARE PROVIDER programme to provide person-centric care for the low-income living at home.
Thye Hua Kwan Educare Centre (Ang Mo Kio) started operation with the aim to provide professional early childhood care and education for the children in the community. The centre’s programme caters to children aged between 2 months to 12 years old. |

Chong Pang Social Service Hub, a new community service jointly set up by Chong Pang Grassroots and Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society. This one-stop Service Hub will offer better care and convenience for the elderly in the constituency so that they do not have to travel to a polyclinic or hospital further away.
Official opening of 2 Family Service Centres in Guangzhou, a collaboration with the Guangzhou authorities. Thye Hua Kwan lends it expertise in setting up and running the family service centres. |
