Us
Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society -
a Charity helping people who need help, since 1978.
It has over 50 welfare services, including the Ang Mo Kio Hospital, various Welfare Homes,
Family Service Centres, Seniors Activity Centres, Home Help Services, and others.
Our services cater to the old, young, destitute, disabled, rich and poor. There are
counselling, home help, home medical, home nursing and home therapy services islandwide.
Home Help services span over seven days a week.

| Moral Promotion |
|
From inception, the Society commenced various campaigns to promote good morals. These include : |
|
1. The promotion of filial piety by awarding an Award for Filial Piety and showing filmlets on filial piety in 10 cinemas, simultaneously. |
2. The promotion of "Respect for Elders". We organised a nation-wide Essay Competition in 4 languages for all schools in Singapore. |
3. The promotion of " Patriotism ". We organised a nation-wide Elocution Contest for students. |
4. Virtues Week : We organised a week of activities to promote good morals and respect for each other, irrespective of race, colour or religion. |
5. Family Virtues : We organised a campaign to promote Family Virtues and Values by putting up posters in 4 languages on 100 buses. The message: " Family -Where True Love and Warmth is. Treasure your spouse, love your children, respect your siblings, be filial to your parents."

6. During May 1996, we issued the first Mother's Day Phonecard with the message : "Mum, you're the greatest! " to promote filial piety.The following month, we also issued the first Father's Day Phonecard with another message : "Pa, you're just as great! ". The objective is to promote love and filial piety to our parents. |
